Established in 2024, TMM Academy and Research Centre is the dedicated paramedical and management education wing of TMM Hospital, a trusted name in healthcare services. Founded with a vision to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and clinical expertise, the Academy started its journey with modest infrastructure comprising four classrooms, three staff rooms, a library, a boardroom, and administrative departments.
In a short span, the Academy has experienced significant growth and is now proudly affiliated with the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Government of Kerala. This affiliation highlights the institution’s commitment to delivering quality education aligned with state healthcare standards.
The Academy is supported by a team of highly qualified and experienced faculty members who ensure that students receive hands-on training, theoretical foundations, and real-time exposure. One of the key strengths of the institution is the in-house clinical training provided at TMM Hospital, enabling students to gain practical experience across various departments.

About 90 years ago a few Brethren missionaries initiated a medical work in Central Kerala, concentrated majorly in and around the town of Tiruvalla (now Thiruvalla) in connection with those known as Christian Brethren was commenced at Kumbanad by Mrs. J. Noel.
The first doctor in connection with the above was Dr. P.C Fountain. Dr. Fountain who began work in Alleppey in the year 1935 and later continued in Kottayam and also assisted in the work at Tiruvalla for a time. Their selfless and sacrificial s ervices, especially in the health-care of the poor and down-trodden were greatly appreciated by the local people. One such admirer of this missionary work was Dr. Dewan Bahadhur V. Verghese, the Chief Physician of the King of Travancore.
